Working closely with designer Amanda Bradbury, from Fabrik Interiors, and Simon Mulholland from Leeds University, a sustainable solution was developed for the latest round of bathroom refurbishments at Devonshire Hall.

The primary aim? To prolong the lifespan of the existing im电竞 shower enclosures and deliver a modern and stylish environment that meets the expectations of the students. A detailed modernisation programme was subsequently developed to provide a complete overhaul of the bathrooms whilst still retaining the robust nature associated with the im电竞 products.

The existing shower enclosures had been in constant use for over 10 years and have provided a reliable and durable maintenance free solution. Whilst the cubicles had become slightly dated the functionality was perfectly sound and a sustainable solution was therefore proposed to uplift the units with the addition of new doors, lighting and shower components. The cubicles were finished off with a tiled exterior to seamlessly blend in with the surrounding decor.

Simon Mulholland, who looks after the residential side for the University, wanted to create a first-class facility to ensure the students experience was fully enhanced. The creation of a modern, stylish and homely facility provides a thought-provoking example of how existing products can be utilised and enhanced within a refurbishment scheme.
